Elementary School Students Tour AME Labs

Arizona FIRST LEGO League (FLL) students from Ventana Vista Elementary School visited the labs of AME faculty members Alex Craig and Hossein Rastgoftar on April 23. The students' "Tube-o-nardo Davinci's" team was one of the youngest teams at the March 2022 Arizona FLL competition and received a Rising All-Star Award.

Arizona FLL is part of Arizona State University's Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering K-12 outreach efforts. The program fosters interest in STEM fields and engineering practices by providing quality programs and partnerships for K-12 students, teachers and families throughout Arizona.

The students said they enjoyed their time at AME and are looking forward to learning more about engineering and participating in the next year's FLL competition.
