Professor Peiwen "Perry" Li has collaborated with researchers in the UA Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering to create a new method of recovering and storing the vast amounts of heat energy created in metal refining and smelting.
With the help of Tech Launch Arizona, the team is working to bring their inventions to market through the startup company MetOxs Electrochemical.
