AME Grad Student Co-Founds Software Startup
Sahand Sabet, a PhD candidate in mechanical engineering, has co-founded a software platform to "seamlessly curate, structure and share information." The startup Dive, co-founded with Eller College of Management student Daniel Frost, is being completed with the help of the University of Arizona's McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship.
With Dive, users can quickly store and organize content from around the internet into easy-to-present pages. The startup recently completed an advanced entrepreneurial program at Finding Opportunities & Resources to Grow Entrepreneurs, or Forge in its inaugural year, and has joined the UA Center for Innovation as part of a pilot program.
“Our team is exploring new ideas and developing pilot programs like this that lead to high-impact change within the Southern Arizona innovation ecosystem,” said Elizabeth “Betsy” Cantwell, senior vice president for research and innovation and professor of practice in AME. “We are redefining UA’s innovation landscape and engaging with entrepreneurs and the community to bridge resources and accelerate the most promising inventions.”
