Li Named Editor of Solar Energy Journal

AME department head and professor Peiwen Li was recently named an associate editor of the Journal of Solar Energy Engineering. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers publication focuses on solar energy, wind energy and energy conservation, along with policy and regulatory issues that affect renewable energy technologies and their implementation. Li joins fellow associate editors Nesrin Ozalp of Purdue University Northwest and Aránzazu Fernández García of the Plataforma Solar de Almería.

Li was appointed head of AME in August 2018, and his research includes concentrated solar systems and using solar thermal energy for water treatment. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal papers and more than 90 peer-reviewed conference papers. He also served as an associate editor for Solar Energy, the official journal of the International Solar Energy Society.
