UA Expands Global Opportunities With Amrita University Partnership

In one of the largest ever international university collaborations in India, Amrita University and the University of Arizona are embarking on a multidisciplinary partnership in education and research.

Liesl Folks, provost and vice president of academic affairs at the UA, and Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, chancellor of Amrita, signed a letter of intent Dec. 12. The universities will collaborate on integrated and dual-degree programs at the bachelor’s and master’s levels in disciplines ranging from engineering and nanotechnology to medicine and public health.
