UA mechanical engineering senior Maurissa Wortham served as the UA Reserve Officers' Training Corps Ranger Challenge Team captain
Following the year in which the University of Arizona Reserve Officers' Training Corps Ranger Challenge Team saw the greatest number of female cadets in its history, the team also had a female captain in Maurissa Wortham.
Wortham, a mechanical engineering senior, led the team to its third consecutive regional victory and a top-five finish among 36 schools in the 5th Brigade.
Fellow mechanical engineering major Marissa Rives served as captain for a non-competition group of emergent team members who spent the term focusing on skills development.
