Abstract: Discussion around the importance of preflight testing in space applications. Considers the
timing challenges, what to test, and potential shortfalls to be mindful of.
Bio: Scott Rowland is currently the Director of Engineering for Space Force and Air Force Launch Vehicle Programs at Northrop Grumman and Chief Engineer for a major defense program. He has over 20 years of experience in the Space industry developing launch vehicles and spacecraft for various applications and customers. He has received a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona in 2003 and master’s in mechanical engineering from Arizona State University in 2008.
